Furthermore, the film received support from both Universities and the Chapter of Salamanca Cathedral, where several sequences were filmed. The Church of La Purísima served as a setting and supported the production.

Around 300 people participated in the shooting: 51 technical and artistic crew members, 42 actors, another 21 actors in small parts of the shooting, and almost 200 extras.
In this film project, three pillars made it possible: Goya Producciones, Contracorriente Producciones-Stellarum Films, and the religious community Mothers of the Abandoned of Saint Joseph of the Mountain.

The film's screenplay narrates the life of Ana, who lives her youth in the Abdalajís Valley (Málaga). But her life takes a complete turn, and, together with a group of brave and determined women, she begins charitable work in favor of the most needy, especially abandoned elderly, orphaned children, and people in vulnerable situations. In time, she would go on to found the Congregation of Mothers of the Abandoned and Saint Joseph of the Mountain. 30 years after her death, her remains are stolen in the midst of the Spanish Civil War.
