Tomorrow, Thursday, starting at 10:15 PM, a new edition of the Salamanca Summer Short Film Festival, organized by Salamanca Film Commission, will begin in the Barrio del Oeste. In this first screening, the short films: February 29th, Wrath, The wildest side of life, Origami, Newbies will be projected.
The festival will host four short-format sessions for viewers to enjoy the best Spanish cinema and, moreover, for the same viewers to rate and score what they have watched on screen.
Over the next few weeks, residents of Salamanca will be able to enjoy the best selection of short films from the audiovisual landscape thanks to the short film catalog of the Traveling CortoEspaña Festival, with whom the organizers have once again collaborated on this outdoor screening program. From 10:15 PM and free of charge, on Thursdays May 28th and June 4th, 18th, and 25th, these screenings will take place on Granero street, featuring the best national and international short films, which will compete for the award for best short film in the national CortoEspaña competition. At the end of each screening, attending viewers will be able to vote for their favorite short film from each event.
Twenty works will be screened, five each day, in projections that will showcase the most outstanding and awarded short films from the Fugaz Awards for Spanish Short Films, the most important short film awards in our country, chosen by a committee of more than 1,500 professionals from the audiovisual sector.
This new edition of the Summer Short Film Festival, organized by the Salamanca City Council through the Salamanca Film Commission, has the collaboration of bar Granero, filmmaker and screenwriter Javier Díez, and the ZOES neighborhood association, as well as the sponsorship of Mahou.
