Salamanca to promote itself as a World Heritage city through a video
With this work, Salamanca aims to project an image of a lively and dynamic city
On Sunday, April 26th and Monday, April 27th, the city will host the production of an audiovisual aimed at promoting the 15 cities that are part of the World Heritage Cities of Spain group. The work will be carried out by the company Read More Basic S.L. and directed by Hervé Trimarche.
With this work, Salamanca aims to project an image of a lively and dynamic city. Therefore, the locations chosen for the filming not only showcase the most well-known and tourist aspects of the historic center, such as the Cathedral, the University, Plaza Mayor, Anaya, Casa Lis, Calle Compañía, but also include more contemporary places like the DA2, the Urban Gallery in the Oeste neighborhood, a restaurant, the Unamuno Campus, live music in a venue, or a Spanish language school.
The richness of its historical and artistic heritage, the color of its Villamayor stone, and its status as a lively city led to Salamanca being named a World Heritage City by UNESCO in 1988 and European Capital of Culture in 2002.
Hervé Trimarche has already carried out various works for the city, the most important being “Salamanca Única” (2004), an audiovisual with which the city has been promoted worldwide and has won countless awards at international festivals.
The project has the support of the Salamanca City Council through the Salamanca Film Commission, which has carried out location scouting, permits, and logistics, as well as coordinating the producer's needs, such as the loan of municipal bicycles, lighting, personnel, or traffic and parking permits.
