Aura Satz. Contemporary Visions
From November 2026 to February 2027. DA2 Domus Artium 2002. Exhibition.
Aura Satz (Barcelona, 1974) will be the protagonist of the forty-second cycle of Contemporary Visions 2026, featuring the latest trends in film and video in Spain. Residing between Barcelona and London, where she is an associate professor at the Royal College of Arts, her artistic practice encompasses sound, performance, sculpture, and cinema. In her films, she explores the connections between sound, image, and different possibilities of listening.
Throughout her career, Satz has undertaken a series of collaborations with composers who have been relevant to the development of electroacoustic music and technologies linked to the creation of electronic sounds, such as Éliane Radigue, Laurie Spiegel, Beatriz Ferreira, and Sarah Davachi.
She has performed, exhibited, and screened her work internationally in art centers such as Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Whitechapel Gallery (London), MoMA New York, Sydney Biennial (Australia), Onassis Foundation (Athens), and Artium (Vitoria-Gasteiz), or festivals such as BFI London, New York Film Festival, Rewire Festival, and She Makes Noise Festival. For the first time, her work will be exhibited in Salamanca.
