Handel's Messiah Choruses

The CAEM will host one of the season's major choral events. Under the title Handel's Messiah Choruses, some of Salamanca's most prominent groups will perform a selection of the most famous choruses from this masterpiece of the universal repertoire.

Beyond the appeal of Handel's music, the concert stands out due to the unique nature of the proposal: the joint participation of choirs linked to Salamanca's main musical, academic, and cultural institutions. Each group will perform a selection of excerpts from The Messiah, and in the final part, all will join their voices to offer some of the oratorio's most emblematic numbers, including the famous Hallelujah.

All this at the Centre for Performing Arts and Music, the city's main auditorium and a benchmark venue for major musical events in Salamanca, in an evening designed to enjoy the emotion and power of one of the most admired works in music history.

Featuring the Superior Conservatory of Music Choir, the Professional Conservatory of Music Choir, the University of Salamanca Choir, and the Francisco Salinas Choir.
