La Malquerida

The CAEM will be the venue for one of the season's major choral events. Under the title Handel's Messiah Choruses, some of Salamanca's most prominent groups will perform a selection of the most celebrated choruses from this masterpiece of the universal repertoire.

Beyond the appeal of Handel's music, the concert stands out due to the unique nature of the proposal: the joint participation of choirs associated with Salamanca's main musical, academic, and cultural institutions. Each group will perform a selection of excerpts from The Messiah and, in the final part, all will unite their voices to offer some of the oratorio's most emblematic numbers, including the famous Hallelujah.

All this at the Centro de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música (Performing Arts and Music Center), the city's main auditorium and a benchmark venue for major musical events in Salamanca, in an evening designed to enjoy the emotion and power of one of the most admired works in music history.
