Peter Beets is a Dutch jazz pianist born in Den Haag (The Hague) in 1971. He was initially influenced by pianists such as Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans, although he later developed a very personal style. Beets began playing the piano at the age of 6 and studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
He has worked with musicians such as Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, Toots Thielemans, Benny Golson, and Kurt Elling, and has performed at jazz festivals worldwide. He has recorded several albums as a leader, including New York Trio, Live at the Concertgebouw, Portrait of Peterson, Beets meets Rosenberg, Chopin meets the Blues, and Our Love is here to Stay.
Gideon Tazelaar (Hilversum, 1997) is a prominent Dutch jazz tenor saxophonist, currently in New York, recognized for his virtuosity and a style that follows the tradition of great masters like Sonny Rollins and Coleman Hawkins.
