Guardia Civil Music Unit

The Guardia Civil Music Unit is one of Spain's most prestigious and representative institutional musical ensembles. Inheritor of a tradition begun in the 19th century, its history reflects the close link between musical excellence and service to the State. From its origins in the Colegio de Guardias Jóvenes de Valdemoro to the current Unit, made up of 74 musicians, it has accompanied the main official acts of the Corps and has evolved to become a benchmark within the panorama of military music.

Under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Musician, Jaime Ismael Enguídanos Royo, the Unit combines the rigor of military tradition with a broad and attractive repertoire, capable of moving audiences of all ages. In addition to participating in parades, flag swearing ceremonies, and State ceremonies, it develops an intense concert activity that strengthens the bond between the Guardia Civil and society. Its artistic quality has been recognized both within and outside our borders, with performances in countries such as Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Romania, as well as in some of Spain's most emblematic venues.
