The Keys to the City 2025

25 October 2025 - 21 December 2025

The program "Keys to the City 2025" offers us, one more year, the opportunity to rediscover the heritage, history, and soul of our beloved Salamanca. In this edition, under the motto "Opening ancient doorways", we invite you to cross the doors, those of the buildings that hold centuries of history and also those of the books that have given life to our city in literature.

We commemorate the First Centenary of the birth of Carmen Martín Gaite, one of the great voices of our literature, and we do so by celebrating the deep relationship between Salamanca and Literature: the city that inspired unforgettable settings like those of "El Lazarillo de Tormes" or "La Celestina" and that hosted writers who left an indelible mark such as Miguel de Unamuno, Torres Villarroel, Calderon de la Barca, or Juan Fernández.
