This year Salamanca, with its immense heritage and as an open-air museum, presents a program in which almost 20 spaces unite to highlight the work of the city's museums and exhibition halls.

The central focus of this celebration will be Monday, May 18, a date on which museums worldwide unite to celebrate International Museum Day under the theme 'Museums uniting a divided world'. On this day, various spaces in the city will hold Open Days with free admission, such as the Casa Lis Museum, Ieronimus, ScalaTalleres, guided tours, storytelling, micro-theater, virtual reality glasses, and much more during the International Museum Week, which will take place in Salamanca from May 16 to 24, coinciding with Museum Day, celebrated every May 18, which will also feature an open day.

Almost twenty spaces join the extensive program which, among other activities, will feature social swing dancing, a simultaneous chess game, themed scavenger hunts, archaeology workshops, a photography tour, concerts, a creative car collage workshop for families, a postcard workshop, a cyanotype and embroidery workshop, demonstrations by artisans of traditional crafts such as jewelry making, Roman scale manufacturing, and honey production; live painting sessions with urban artists accompanied by DJ music, among other activities.
