To better organise your trips, download the document with the opening times of the city’s main museums and monuments or why not make your way to the Salamanca Municipal Tourism Office if you are already in the city.Please remember that museums are closed on Mondays and that opening times may vary depending on the time of the year. There are also opening-time changes during festivals and public holidays. Some venues offer free entry at certain times during the week.

We were in Salamanca a few weeks ago and we were struck by the inscriptions on the walls of some of the buildings. We were told that these are known as vítores and that in the past, they were drawn using bulls blood. In this photo, we can be seen listening to the explanation given by the tour guide.see more
